FAQ (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)



GENERAL


• CAN I BRING MY OWN BEER OR ALCOHOL? - Attendees are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages for consumption in the camping area. Beer and alcoholic beverages purchased off-site are not allowed in the seating area or bar, however reasonably priced beer, wine and alcohol are available in the festival’s bar. Beer and alcohol are not allowed outside of the camping and show areas. You must be aged 18 and over to consume alcoholic beverages anywhere on site. Please drink responsibly and don't drink and drive.


• CAN I BRING MY DOG? - Well behaved dogs are welcome in the camping area and on roads and walking trails but must be on a leash at all times. Please advise volunteers at the gate if you have a dog and we will help you park away from roads and trails for the safety of your pet and visitors. Please plan ahead - days can get hot - never leave your pet unattended in a vehicle. If we fear for the safety of your pet, we won't hesitate to break a window and advise the authorities. Please clean up after your pet.


• ARE THERE FACILITIES ON SITE? – There will be several porta-potties on the site. Electrical and sewer services are not available in the general camping area, however there are several nearby full-service campgrounds as well as a dumping station nearby. Showers ($) are available at the Taylor Point Campground, about 7-8 minutes from the festival. Just ask one of our volunteers for directions.


• WHAT IS SEATING LIKE? - Seating is all general admission and the festival does have a limited number of seats available for public use at the festival, however we do encourage attendees to bring their favorite camping chair for your comfort. No high-back or long-chairs are allowed. Personal chairs may be placed in the seating area beginning on Tuesday at 1 PM.

• WHAT HAPPENS IF I PURCHASE TICKETS AND CANNOT ATTEND? - Tickets are non-refundable. All sales are final. The festival is held rain or shine.


• DO CHILDREN HAVE TO PAY? – The New Richmond Bluegrass Festival is a family friendly event. Youth and children 16 years old and under are admitted free. Youth 17 and older must pay the adult admission fee. Children and youth under 18 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult (over 25 years old) at all times.


• WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR ADVANCE TICKET PRICES? – To take advantage of advance ticket prices, you must purchase your daily tickets or festival passes by August 15. After August 15, regular gate prices are in effect.



FOOD AND ALCOHOL


• CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD? – Attendees are welcome to bring their own food to the festival.


• ARE THERE FOOD VENDORS ON SITE? – Yes, there are food vendors on site from Thursday through Sunday.


• CAN I BRING MY OWN BEER OR ALCOHOL? - Alcoholic beverages purchased off site are allowed in the camping area ONLY. Please support the festival and help us respect the conditions of our bar permit. We may ask to search backpacks and other objects on the festival grounds. If you do not consent to a search, you may be refused access to the site or asked to leave without reimbursement.



CAMPING AND PARKING


• WHEN DOES THE CAMPGROUND OPEN? – The camping area will open for all-inclusive pass holder on Saturday August 29 at 10 AM. Three-day pass holders may arrive beginning Friday September 4 at 10 AM.


• HOW MUCH IS CAMPING? – Rough (without services) camping is included with the purchase of your all-inclusive or three-day festival pass. Reserved camping in the section nearest the stage is available at a cost of $40 per unit for the entire week. Purchase tickets and reserved camping here.


• CAN I CAMP IF I ONLY PURCHASE DAILY TICKETS? – Nightly camping may be purchased at the gate at a cost of $10 per night.


• CAN I USE A GENERATOR? - Generators are allowed to operate from 7 AM to 11 PM. In case of unusually cool weather, we may allow operation of generators at night - announcements will be made on stage. Generators may be used at night for persons whose medical condition requires it - please notify our volunteers upon your arrival.


• ARE THERE ANY SERVICES IN THE CAMPING AREA? – We have eight serviced sites on the grounds, however most are used by volunteers who are on site for a week or more. The remaining sites are reserved well in advance. In the event that some become available, we will announce it on our Facebook page. There will be several porta-potties on the site, however there are no showers or dump station. There is a free dump station at the Town of New Richmond tourist information office, located approximately five minutes from the festival site. Dumping of grey or black water is not allowed on site. Showers ($) are available at the Taylor Point Campground, about 7-8 minutes from the festival. Just ask one of our volunteers for directions.


• CAN I HAVE VISITORS? - Visitors are not allowed in the camping areas. Any visitors must purchase a festival pass or daily ticket.


• IS THERE PLENTY OF PARKING? - Yes, there is plenty of free parking for daily tickets holders.



ACCESSIBILITY


• IS THE FESTIVAL ACCESSIBLE TO PERSONS WITH REDUCED MOBILITY? – We do our best to make the festival enjoyable for everyone. The site and main stage building are flat and accessible, and we have an accessible porta-pottie on site. The Gazebo (where the late-night jams take place) has two steps, however our volunteers are more than happy to assist anyone wishing to enter.


• DO YOU HAVE CAMPING AREAS FOR PERSONS WITH REDUCED MOBILITY? – Yes, there is a camping section near the stage area for people having a valid tag or license plate.



ADDITIONAL INFORMATION



WE WANT EVERYONE TO HAVE A GREAT TIME, SO WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE RESPECT THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES DURING YOUR TIME AT THE NEW RICHMOND BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL.


• Our volunteers work tirelessly to provide you with the best possible event. Please respect them – anyone verbally abusing our volunteers or other attendees will be asked to leave the festival without a refund. Anyone physically abusing volunteers or other attendees will face charges.


• Your bracelet must be worn around your wrist at all times and be tight enough that it cannot be taken off. Bracelets must be shown to our volunteers upon request.


• Bicycles are allowed in the camping areas ONLY.


• Standing, umbrellas, high-back chairs and other objects which may obstruct the view of your fellow attendees are not allowed in the seating area.


• Please respect your fellow attendees don't speak loudly in the seating area during shows. Picnic tables and extra seats are provided outside the seating area for your comfort.


• It is forbidden to smoke in the barn or seating area at all times. Please use designated smoking area.


• Glass containers are not allowed in the seating area, barn or gazebo. Unauthorized collection of bottles and cans is not permitted.


• Drugs, drunken, disruptive and loud behavior will not be tolerated on the festival site. • Please use garbage and recycling containers available on the site.


• Open fires are not allowed on the grounds except for the campfire area near the Gazebo, and only under the supervision of festival volunteers. Propane fire pits my be used in the camping area but must be attented to at all times.


• Fireworks are not allowed.


• "Jams" are not only allowed, they're encouraged. However, amplified music is not allowed. If you wish to camp in a quiet area, please let our volunteers know upon your arrival.


• Please allow us to assist in parking your RV and follow the instructions of our volunteers. • For your safety, access to trails and buildings are not permitted after 7 PM.


• The festival is not responsible for accidents, loss, theft or injuries, no matter the cause. • We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone or to expulse anyone not respecting the rules or acts in such a way as to bother other attendees. No readmission or refund. Rules will be applied without exception.
